The City of Nuremberg is regularly confronted with processing species protection law requirements in the approval of projects. Delays in the planning process and in the approval procedure should therefore be avoided by a planning aid for special species protection as well as an overall local species protection concept.
The catalog of measures developed by ANUVA with species profiles for the animal species relevant under species protection law in the urban area forms an important building block for the urban species protection concept and supports planners and authorities in the selection and assessment of suitable measures for the avoidance of prohibitions in the implementation of projects.
